Explorers Program for 2017
The LA Galaxy South Bay Explorers Program is our way of providing young players with an opportunity to “Explore” the game in creative and unique ways. The Explorer program meets each week of the year, except the month of July and the month of December, and is designed to prepare the kids to be ready for club soccer, whenever that may be. Each week, the Explorers will be challenged by select soccer coaches, will rotate through varying skill stations, and will scrimmage in small-sided situations. We will also coordinate several “Jamborees” throughout the year, and invite Explorers from all 3 locations to play and scrimmage together.
Meet our Explorers Program director, Paul Krumpe (bio), Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Loyola Marymount University. Paul is a former US Olympian (1988) and US World Cup team member (1990), he holds a USSF “A” coaching license and has recently earned a National Youth Diploma to better train and develop our 4-9 year old Explorers.
